2010 AB Pop Warner Football Coaches Announced
ABPW has five head coaches returning to the ranks this year and one who is new to the head coach position. Depending on the team that your child ends up on, the head coach is your direct contact to the team other than the Team Mom (they will be announced at a later time).
Our 2010 Head Coaches are:
- A Team: John McGovern - John enters his sixth year as a head coach and we are pleased to have him leading the A Team in 2010. John's son Michael enters his 6th year as well.
- B Team: Jim Kelly - Jim returns to the head coaching ranks for a third year. We are excited to have him back to lead the B team during our upcoming season. Jim's son JT returns for his 5th year.
- C Team: Joe Loblundo - Joe enters his 4th year as a head coach for AB Pop Warner. Last year, Joe and his staff led the D-Gold team to the Eastern Mass Championship with three terrific playoff wins to capture the title. Joe's son Eric will be entering his 5th season.
- D-Gold: Henry Morris - Henry Morris and Mike Smith will team up for another season of AB Pop Warner football. We are extremely happy to have them back and look forward to another great season from D-Gold.
- D-Blue: John Sweeney - John will be a first time head coach after being an assistant for two years. John helped coach the D-Blue team last year and was in charge of the offense. We are excited to have John and his two sons, Dylan and Noah, all together this season.
- E Team: Scott German - Scott returns for his second year with the Mitey Mites. Scott's team had great success last year and lots of fun. We are looking forward to another terrific season from our youngest group. Scott will be coaching his son Matthew in his 2nd year of football.
One final note, Keith Shaughnessy has decided not to coach in 2010. Keith was head coach of the D-Blue team last year and has been involved with Pop Warner for many years. Please join me in thanking Keith for all he has done for the program over the years.
